When I tell people I have Fibromyalgia, the majority of people just smile and say ahh OK. The reality is that I think even those closest to me don’t fully comprehend what I deal with on a daily basis. How could they when the fact is that the most of the time I look absolutely fine. The “joys”of having an invisible illness means that we suffer alone, don’t really know how to explain our condition to others and look fine when feeling crap.
Here is a great clip (courtesy of Jennifer Charette) that I found on You Tube which basically…yes, very basically explains what is happening, it is useful to show to loved ones and friends and hopefully they will get a better understanding of what Fibromyalgia really is and how it affects us.
Thankyou it is well explained. I shared it. But So far no response from family or friends without it.
Thanks for your comment Vanessa. At least you know that the video is there and even if your family has not responded, hopefully they will have watched it and have a little understanding of the condition and it’s challenges 🙂
This video portrays exactly how I feel some days, So please I ask all my friends to watch the video and the maybe they will understand what I go through , One thing I know I need a full nights sleep , I have discovered that if I take an 8 hour pain relief pill such as Anadin Ultra ibrofine green pill for muscle pains (8hour ) it usually helps me sleep plus other pills from the doctor during the day. However if I know that I am to have a long busy day I will then only take the Anadin Ultra 8 hour , which I find helps me get through the day. May I add that recently I have discovered swimming seems to helping my symptoms , Walking seems to drain me completely , and just seizes me up completely.
